Ummm, because the only thing better than summer peaches is not sweating over a stove. Can I get an Amen?
When the temps rise and the days stretch long, I’m all about low effort and high flavor. These BBQ Peach Pulled Pork Sandwiches are everything: juicy, tender, a little sweet, a little smoky, and just sassy enough to steal the spotlight at your next picnic or pool party.
And did I mention the crockpot does all the work while you sip lemonade and pretend you’re a domestic goddess? ✨
🛒 What You’ll Need:
- 3–4 lb pork shoulder or pork butt
- 1 cup BBQ sauce (hickory, sweet, or smoky—dealer’s choice)
- 1 cup peach preserves (yes, the jam!)
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt & pepper to taste
- Soft sandwich buns
- Optional: coleslaw, pickles, sauce for drizzling
🔥 Let’s Get Cookin’:
- Season your pork shoulder with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika.
- Place it in your slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix the BBQ sauce, peach preserves, and apple cider vinegar. Pour over the pork.
- Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4–5, until it’s falling apart like your best friend’s summer fling.
- Shred the pork right in the pot and mix it all up with those juices.
- Serve it on fluffy buns with slaw on top—or not. You’re the boss.
🍑 Serving Ideas:
Pair it with:
- Corn on the cob 🌽
- Watermelon salad 🍉
- Sweet tea or a peach sangria 🍹
- A sunset and a porch swing, obviously
💁♀️ A Little Natalie Note:
This one’s great for feeding a crowd or making your Thursday night dinner feel like a picnic in Georgia. I’ve even used the leftovers for BBQ peach nachos. Yes, that’s a thing, and yes, I’ll blog it one of these days!😉
xo,
