Well, I don’t recommend shaking the box and listening. But I do recommend asking questions like:

• What makes me feel totally alive and connected to God?
• What do people always say I’m good at (besides picking the best snacks)?
• What can I do that doesn’t make me want to hide under the couch?

Still clueless? Ask your mom, your friend, your barista—they’ll probably tell you what you’re already doing that blesses people.

Here’s the kicker—spiritual gifts are not for your personal highlight reel. They’re for building up the body of Christ, which is a fancy way of saying: love people well.

So don’t be afraid to:
