There’s something about summer that brings out the dreamer in me. Maybe it’s the longer days, the glow of golden hour, or the way iced coffee just hits different when you’re wearing flip flops. Whatever it is, I’m here for it—and this year, I’m making fun the main character.
I created a simple, smile-worthy summer bucket list, and spoiler alert: it’s less “climb a mountain” and more “laugh until I snort while eating watermelon.” Let’s dive in!
🍓 1. Backyard Picnics & Bougie Snacks
I’m talking fancy cheeses from the clearance section, sparkling lemonade, and a big floppy hat. Add a thrifted picnic blanket and some bug spray (because this is real life), and it’s giving romantic cottagecore on a Target budget.
🌊 2. Pool Days & Lazy Afternoons
A folding chair, a paperback novel, and the sound of kids splashing in the distance? Yes please. Bonus points if I remember sunscreen before I get that crispy croissant look again.
🛍️ 3. Farmers Markets & Sidewalk Strolls
Nothing says summer like a fresh peach in one hand and a tote bag full of flowers in the other. I always end up buying honey I don’t need and one weird jam—but I regret nothing.
🧋 4. Cold Drinks, Cute Cups
This is the season of iced everything: iced latte, iced tea, iced gossip with friends. I keep my tumblers stocked and my fridge loaded with lemon slices like it’s a lifestyle (because it is).
🎶 5. Music, Memes, and Made-Up Dance Moves
Whether it’s a backyard playlist or an impromptu kitchen dance party, I’m leaning into joy. And if a dance reel ends up on Instagram… you’re welcome.
✨ 6. Doing Absolutely Nothing (and Loving It)
Rest is radical. So if one day all I do is lay on the couch in a sunbeam and scroll for cute summer outfit inspo, I’m calling it productive.
Let this be your sign to sprinkle some silliness into your summer. Whether you’re chasing waves, chasing kids, or just chasing your peace, remember: joy counts as a to-do.
🌸 With love and SPF,
